Works of evangelism by Evangelist Waboma George in Abuja Nigeria
May to August 2019
This information will be updated as Evang. George continues
to work in Africa and preaches weekly on Let The Bible Speak TV
located on Facebook here:

With gratitude to God for the grace and privilege to be His servant, Evang. Wabomba George had the opportunity to go on a missionary journey to Abuja Nigeria and worked with the local congregations. Mostly spending time with Nyanya Church of Christ  performing evangelism, anchoring sermons and visitation of the weak and back-slided brethren that needed  encouragement and guidance.
The activities were eventful and so much experience was being gathered in the course of the period I stayed two (2) months working with the congregation.

With the goal of “LET THE BIBLE SPEAK” of carrying out the noble task of saving souls and keeping souls saved, these were the venues I conducted during my evangelism work;

  1. Boundary Road
  2. Old Custom quarters
  3. Jikwoyi – Dagbana
  4. Maraba
  5. kpeyegyi

Other external places where I worked were Nasarawa State and Asokoro Village.

Within these two months {38 days, 126 hours}, 40 Bible studies were conducted, involving 54 persons, 80 persons enrolled in Bible corresponding lessons, 5 visitations, 6 baptisms in the names of:
Prosper Godwin, Christopher and Ebuka Chinedu, Sylus, Stephen.

Other works through the Facebook program “LET THE BIBLE SPEAK TV”,
a denominational General overseer of Liberation House church was converted
into the church of Christ and his entire members, and a new congregation was
established in Asokoro Abuja in late July of 2019.

My work was also by the Bro. Moses Minister of Nyanya church of Christ,
Bro. Vincent (Evangelist) and some brethren who volunteered to
accompany me to evangelism and visitation. It is my prayer the
Almighty God continue blessing his children who
love the work
of saving others into the kingdom of God and all

those who contributed towards my successful stay.

The experiences

  • The people / prospects were so receptive and willing to study about
    the Gospel.
  • Most people find the teachings of the church of Christ new and foreign.
  • Most people are willing to obey the gospel, but they are afraid
of leaving their denominational churches, most especially married
spouses, young people, those depending on people who belong to
    denominations for a living, etc.
  • Prospects require our consistent effort to help them see the need
of obeying the gospel and our concern.
  • Prospects need our patience and encouragement most especially to
invite them to visit the worship of the saints.
  • Prospects need enough time to help them understand the truth
and make right decisions which can help them not to backslide.

Conclusion

This community was a blessing, great and very fertile environment
showing that with effective evangelism and strategic follow up, more
souls can be won into God’s kingdom. I thank you for reading this
mission work in Africa.

It’s my prayer that you be part of this ministry in Africa.
May God continue to bless you in your effort towards advancing
the cause of Christ.
